Main areas of the scientific and practical activity: research of the principal regularities of the features and formation conditions of coal-bearing deposits of Siberia and the Far East; economic-geological analysis of coal basins and fields of various genetic types; analytical studies of solid combustible minerals. Author and co-author of over 100 scientific works, including three monographs and four methodological manuals. One of the authors and editors of the “Map of the Coal-bearing Potential of Russia”, scale 1: 2,500 000. Member of the Editorial Board of the journal “Exploration and Protection of Subsoil”.
