Abstract

The article provides a historical overview of the creation of a methodology for the effective processing of mining waste based on an integrated approach to the development of mineral deposits. The role of IPM–VIMS specialists in the first half of the 20th century in the development of technologies involving significant amounts of mining waste (slags, overburden) in the production of metallurgical, construction and other industries is shown.
